CONCLUSIONS: When the participatory interaction of the teachers and peer educators is high, then their involvement as AIDS control activists is correspondingly high. There is thus an urgent need for school-based comprehensive education on social health and AIDS control with emphasis on non-didactic teaching and life skills development and training. Since availability of time is always limited as allotted by school authorities, DESH tries to get the maximum result.
